Location: Module Yard / FST Conversion Yard / LNG Site, Squamish
Schedule: 12 days on, 7 days off, with an estimated 10 hours/day - - Start Date: 11/5/2024 | End Date: 10/27/2026
Accommodations: Floatel or in-town apartment provided
Travel Reimbursement: 10 hours per travel day + mileage at $0.59/km.
Reporting to the Lead Inspector the Structural Inspector will be expected to proactively monitor all aspects of the structural fabrication and installation at the assigned work location.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in the offshore, petrochemical or power generation industries
- Detailed understanding of Canadian and other structural codes and standards
- Demonstrable competency and understanding of Structural fabrication methods, welding, PWHT & NDE processes.
- Working understanding of project execution, engineering, construction and completion practices
- Read, write and speak fluent English
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attendance to Company witness & hold points on Contractors ITP
- Conduct surveillance assessments of contractor's adherence to contractual requirements of structural activities at assigned locations
- Verify that material used complies with contract requirements
- Verify that the concrete pads, anchor bolting, erection, etc. complies with relevant approved Inspection and Test Plans, codes and standards and contractual agreements
- Sign off inspection test records, contractors ITP and adherence to contractors Quality Plan
Weekly/Monthly Deliverables
- Maintain daily log of inspection activities
- Produce relevant field quality control (QC) inspection reports
- Provide quality metrics and input to weekly quality report to Lead Inspector
